This movie has a powerful message but it has nothing to do with MLM unless you count the pyramid picture.
If you are an MLMer and truly believe in pay it forward then the next 3 people you try to convince to join you, you will pay their fees for them and setup their business including blogs, mailouts, adwords, everything they need without them having to pay lots of money.
Even then you aren’t really paying it forward because you benefit. This would really be smart business instead. Not silly eh?
Inspiring movie. Interesting application to network marketing. I disagree with wf192. There IS a connection to MLM in the sense that a network can become very big (and thus very profitable) and powerful when someone utilizes the concepts the way they are supposed to work in a retail environment. This should be part of every MLM training, i think most people who are in MLM don’t understand yet the “paying forward”. I understand it a bit better everytime i watch it.
@wealthfinder192 That would not be paying it forward, your suggestions means you are stealing their opportunity to learn. You showing them the business, you helping them (not paying the fees, and setting up everything – how could they teach that if they have not done it themselves?) is the gift.

@AJMReviews Again that’s great but still nothing to do with the message of the movie. The problem people have is they cannot give without some sort of return. You want to help people and you wrote a book about how good and bad MLM can help or hinder people. This is a great tool for people wanting to get into marketing. But you charge for? it so not paying it forward. The networks people join are there to support EACH OTHER so again not paying it forward.
@chocolatesrgood4you Ok then you would teach them for free without any payback. They would learn the business and be able to make an educated decision before spending their money on… well you get the idea. Even thats not paying it forward. To pay it forward is to give to someone whatever you feel they may need (Education is fine) Then not expecting anything in return.
The idea that this movie has anything to do with? MLM is the problem.

Good information. My granddaughter Hannah has been? on stage in the Boston area since she was 4 years old. She has attended acting conferences and everyone is impressed. I think her acting skills show though in her new music video “Absu Road” here on YouTube. She has her sights set on Broadway and networking definitely is necessary from my perspective.
This is a cool video and Kevin Spacey is a good actor.
