Mario and Goombella arrive at Petal Meadows; not long after they arrive, they see a very large dragon enter a castle. After the initial shock, they go to the nearest town to learn more: Petalburg. They are greeted at Petalburg by “Green Boots.” Goombella asks Green Boots where the Crystal Star is; Green Boots directs them to the Mayor’s House. That house is a pink brick house. Mario and Goombella go to visit the house and talk to the Mayor. Initially, the Mayor tells them that they’re thieves, and that they can take whatever they want. After Mario and Goombella vindicate themselves, they ask the Mayor about the whereabouts of the Crystal Star. After some obvious mis-communications (Murphy), the Mayor tells Mario that the Crystal Star is in the Castle that the dragon Mario saw earlier. They also learn the dragon’s name, Hooktail. To enter the castle one needs two keys that can be found in Shhwonk Fortress. Mario and Goombella head off to the fortress; however, is stopped by a koopa. This koopa stutters, as if he wanted to ask Mario to join him, but is unable to and runs off. During this part Mario remembered that he brought his Gameboy SP. He gets reception in Petal Meadows, and receives an E-mail from the Rogueport Direct Mail Service. This service email would go in the junk folder on the Gameboy SP IF IT HAD A SPAM FOLDER. Ugh. No unsubscribe link either–what a piece of s***. Thanks, Frankly.
