How does media ownership constrain us from having a diversity of viewpoints in the news media?

I’m working on a media project and I’m trying to answer this question myself. Input from other people would be greatly appreciated.

  1. jillionsing says:

The Press are capitalists supporting a system based on exploitation (i.e. unfair usury) (all those who only want to make a profit – even if it is from somebodies Else’s misery).
Profits come from advertising and sales of newspapers…
run a story that would expose the hypocrisy – behind the system
i.e. mention a story about the good work squatters do to help homeless unfortunates, or animal rights activists – about how they wish to stop animals being tortured cruelly for no valid reason in labs, or about what freedom fighters really want…
and you watch how the Press clams up…
