My tax guy filed my taxes via mail, with Direct deposit option?

How long on average does the Direct deposit take from Federal refund, if we mailed the taxes in last week? He wouldn’t efile because he said the gov’t rips us off by charging a fee.

It will usually take about 4 weeks. Actually, the IRS doesn’t charge a fee for e-filing. It is the service that transmits the data to the IRS that charges the fee.

FWIW, many states REQUIRE paid tax preparers that prepare more than X number of returns per year to e-file their returns.
